Grid-Locked Growth: Generating High-Intent Commercial Electrical Leads
I've been working on a service-based (installation bookings) brand's Google Ads campaigns, from planning and execution to monitoring and reporting, wherein my goal was to improve their ROAS and ROI while ensuring that the allocated budget is maximized without overspending the A$600 monthly budget allocated.
This is the actual screenshot of the Google Ads dashboard:

MARCH 2026
• ROAS: 11.14x
• Conversion Value: A$8.45K
• Ad Spend: A$759
To improve performance, I focused on the Google Ads campaign's efficiency:
I was running both Performance Max and Search Ads campaigns in March 2026, which drove up ad spend.
To resolve the issue, I stopped the losing campaign (P-Max) and reallocated the budget to the winning campaign—the Search Ads.
I also checked the keywords and turned off the ones spending but not gaining anything. I also optimized the ad copy and checked the keywords I could use using the Google Keyword Planner.
I didn't increase the budget. I just reallocated the budget, which made the ad spend decrease by April 2026 and improved the ROAS.
After doing those strategies, this is what I achieved:

APRIL 2026
• ROAS: 20.23x
• Conversion Value: A$10.4K
• Ad Spend: A$514
If you've been running ads for months, increasing your budget but still not seeing any improvement, then the problem must be the campaign setup, not the budget.
